SWZ member Priv.-Doz. Dr. Umut Durak was selected as the Vize President for Education for the Society of Modeling and Simulation International (SCS).

The Society of Modeling and Simulation International (SCS) is the premier technical society that is established in 1952 to advance the use of modeling & simulation to solve real-world problems; devoted to the advancement of simulation and allied computer arts in all fields; and committed to facilitating communication among professionals in the field of simulation.

Additionally he was selected as Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). With nearly 30,000 individual] members from 91 countries, and 95 corporate members, AIAA is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. The grade of Associate Fellow recognizes individuals who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or who have done original work of outstanding merit, or who have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.
